In between Quintero and Maitencillo hides the quiet and hilly fisherman village Horcón. Everyday life takes place on a central street, along which you can find little stores and art workshops, traditional empanada booths and basic accommodation. The street leads to the tranquil port of Horcón. This is where the Fishermen pursue their everyday business, while the cozy restaurants along the coastal promenade prepare and serve their catch to the guests.
Horcón is surrounded by dense forests and picturesque beaches. The rustic atmosphere with abandoned bays, dusty roads and lovingly designed wooden cottages lets its guests lose all sense of time and space. With its easy-going, relaxed and humble character Horcón appears like a forgotten treasure. Especially younger generations of Chile appreciate the spontaneity and authenticity of this place and escape every day hassle to spend their weekends or summer days at this place. And some of them even got stuck in this hidden paradise.
