Chile's heart beats here in Santiago. And at the same time, it feels a bit like what gave this country its name according to a legend: Chilli – where the world ends. You visit the historical center of the capital with the lively Plaza de Armas, the famous Government Palace La Moneda and the green city hills Santa Lucía and San Cristóbal. Talca is located about 250 kilometers south of Santiago and has a very pleasant country idyll. Experience the unspoilt mountain landscape near the Argentinean border and hike to the impressive Rainbow Falls. Moreover, you take the historic Buscarril Train along the beautiful Maule River through remote areas to Constitución on the Pacific Ocean.
In Quintay you have a moment of contemplation, deceleration and unfiltered closeness to nature. Surrounded by dense pine forests and hilly landscapes, the secluded fishing village offers unique views of the brightly shimmering Pacific Ocean. During an extended coastal walk along the sandy beach you can listen to the harmonious sound of the sea and the singing of the seagulls.
Valparaíso is famous for its sheet metal covered houses on colorful hills, its historic elevators and the outstanding street art full of political and ironic messages. You stroll through the alleys of the UNESCO awarded hills of Alegre and Concepción and get an impression of Chilean food culture during an entertaining cooking class. In the Cerro La Campana National Park you hike through green palm forests and have wonderful views of the mountainous surroundings.
