Day 1-3: Santiago de Chile

Here in Santiago beats the heart of Chile. And at the same time, it feels a bit like what gave this country its name according to a legend: Chilli – where the world ends. On an entertaining bike tour you explore the historical highlights of the capital and discover its green lungs. The metropolis offers a wide range of exciting places, stories and faces.


Talca
Talca

Day 3-6: Talca

Talca is located about 250 km south of Santiago and has a very pleasant country idyll. Experience the unspoilt mountain landscape near the Argentinean border and hike to the impressive Rainbow Falls. Moreover, you take the historic Buscarril Train along the beautiful Maule River through remote areas to Constitución on the Pacific Ocean. 


Puerto Varas

Day 7-10: Puerto Varas

On an overnight trip by bus you travel to Puerto Varas. The city has its very own magic with its panorama of the beautiful Llanquihue Lake and the snow-covered volcanoes. Watch the endless rupture of the waterfalls of Petrohué. On the adjoining Lago Todos Los Santos, you take a pleasant boat trip. And you experience the island of Chiloé with its waterside houses on stilts, the typical wooden churches and the maritime gastronomy.


Coyhaique

Day 10-13: Coyhaique

Starting from Coyhaique you take a trip to the seemingly endless General Carrera Lake and admire the eroded rock formations of the Capillas de Mármol. In the northern part of the legendary Carretera Austral Road you contemplate the massive hanging glacier of Ventisquero Colgante surrounded by a rustic rainforest atmosphere. Here you can feel what makes this region so unique: its fascinating solitude and pure nature.


La Serena

Day 13-16: La Serena

You're going on to Chile's second oldest city. East of La Serena is the pleasant Elqui Valley. The mystical region seems like a green oasis in the dry surroundings. Here you learn interesting background information about the local wine cultivation and the production of the national drink Pisco. On a boat trip at Isla Damas you get in contact with penguins, sea lions and pelicans. With a bit of luck, you might even see dolphins and whales.

Day 16-19: Caldera / Bahía Inglesa

The scenery at Caldera is stunning: a variety of cacti adorns monotonous sandy areas, while the powerful Pacific rushes along the coast. Hike in the magnificent Pan de Azúcar National Park and admire the outstanding views of the Chilean Sugar Loaf. Immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere on the beautiful beaches of Bahía Inglesa and relax under the sun.


Valparaíso

Day 19-21: Valparaíso

Back to central Chile, you stay in Valparaíso. The port city is famous for its sheet metal covered houses on colorful hills, its historic elevators and the outstanding street art full of political and ironic messages. Get to know the many faces of Valparaíso and stroll through the alleys of the UNESCO awarded hills of Alegre and Concepción. Furthermore, you get an impression of Chilean food culture during an entertaining cooking class.
