Itinerary

Santiago de Chile
Santiago de Chile

Day 1-3: Santiago de Chile

Welcome to Chile! Here in Santiago beats the heart of Chile. And at the same time, at the foot of the snow-covered mountains and not far from the mighty ocean, you feel what gave this country its name according to a legend: Chilli - where the world ends. Glorious buildings and busy commerce on the streets, flourishing parks and modern high-rise complexes come together in Santiago. Here, Chile's past, present and future collide directly.

Puerto Natales
Puerto Natales

Day 3-6: Puerto Natales

You move on to the extreme south of Chile. Puerto Natales is the gateway to the grandiose phenomena of Patagonia. Discover the highlights of the renowned Torres del Paine National Park. Turquoise lakes and jagged granite mountains, floating ice floes and grazing guanacos combine to create an incomparable scenery of Patagonia. And on a boat trip, you cruise on the Fjord Última Esperanza to the glaciers Balmaceda and Serrano in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. It is rough out here and magical.

Punta Arenas
Punta Arenas

Day 6-8: Punta Arenas

You travel to Punta Arenas, one of the southernmost cities on earth. Facing the island of Tierra del Fuego, you are in a truly historic place. This is where the American continent ends. And that is how it feels. On a boat excursion, you sail on the windy Strait of Magellan to the abandoned Isla Magdalena. On the small island, thousands of penguins swarm around, brooding their eggs.

Puerto Varas
Puerto Varas

Day 8-11: Puerto Varas

You fly to the Lake Region. Puerto Varas carries its own magic with its panorama of the sparkling Lago Llanquihue and the snowy volcanoes on the horizon, with German architecture and inviting cafes. The inexhaustible rapids of Río Petrohué break over the volcanic rocks and roar impetuously. With its cone shape and snow-capped dome, Volcán Osorno looks like something out of a picture book. And on the island of Chiloé, you discover colorful stilt houses, wooden churches and indigenous mythology.

Pucón
Pucón

Day 11-14: Pucón

The southern Chile is nicknamed Chilean Switzerland due to its mountainous nature and European immigration history. However, with its endemic vegetation, indigenous culture and concentration of volcanoes, the beauty of the area around Pucón is very unique. You get drawn into this rustic artwork of clear waters, volcanic cones cloaked in snow and opulent forests. And on an optional ascent of the active Villarrica Volcano, you experience firsthand one of the country's most imposing spectacles.

La Serena
La Serena

Day 14-16: La Serena

La Serena is the next stop on your journey. Sightsee old churches and green parks of Chile's second-oldest city. At the beachfront you can get to the bottom of the Andalusian charm that is said about La Serena. Explore the Valle del Elqui, which looks like a blooming oasis in the arid surroundings. And at a local distillery, you get a special point of view on how the national drink Pisco is made.

San Pedro de Atacama
San Pedro de Atacama

Day 16-19: San Pedro de Atacama

Pink-feathered flamingos gather on the shores of Andean lagoons. Between small desert settlements with traditional adobe architecture stretches the crusted salt field of the immeasurable Salar de Atacama. The fascinating desert scenery of Valle de la Luna looks like the ground of an alien planet. And smoke rises from the bubbling geysers of El Tatio while vicuñas and rheas roam the mountains. This and more is presented by the Atacama Desert around the oasis of San Pedro de Atacama.

Valparaíso
Valparaíso

Day 19-21: Valparaíso

You return to central Chile. Valparaíso is known for its colorful tin-clad houses, historic elevators and street art full of politics and irony. View the dazzling ocean in front of the broad mountain silhouette. Meander attentively through the winding sidewalks on the hills of this freedom-loving coastal metropolis. And go up the myriad, exhilaratingly designed stairways of the port city.
